23 Jun Recent cyber attack reminds businesses to review their response

Last weeks Australia-wide cyber attack reminded all business owners to review their response to a breach. A cyber attack would be crippling for your pharmacy. How would you respond?
You would not be able to access your PC’s, be unable to dispense, make online PBS claims, order stock or even use your POS to sell stock.
You also need to consider the damage to your reputation. A customer who you can’t serve today may go somewhere else. More importantly, a cyber break may trigger a notifiable data breach which means you are legally obligated to notify both the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)
and your customers.
However, working alongside your IT support provider, our insurance can help you replace compromised PC’s, manage your reputation damage and assist with any breach reporting. We could reimburse all costs so that you are not out of pocket.
The attacks last week targeted Australian organisations across a range of sectors including all levels of government, industry, political organisations, education, health, essential service providers and operators of other critical infrastructure.
